The leather varies in shades having a subtle patina. The cover wraps around the pages which are sewn by hand directly onto the spine. The binding is longstitch, made with strong binding thread.
The journal measures ~ 5.3×7 in (13.5×18 cm) and has a total of 216 pages (counting both sides) of hand torn paper. I stained the pages, sheet by sheet, to give them this weathered look, like they were taken from a forgotten old book.
