With am artistic cover, this large leather journal would make a great gift idea for a painter or artist, as its pages are blank but vintage style, great for drawing and sketches, so it can be used for writing, journaling or art as well. It’s cover is hand painted, line by line. While I usually make human anatomy drawings, this time I thought it would be interesting to imagine the anatomy of an angel.
For this journal, I chose a lovely leather that has a lovely patina and a nice texture.
The paper is hand torn so it has beautiful raw edges. The pages are an off-white and have a mottled look, resembling old pachment.
The journal is sewn in traditional longstitch technique and it closes with a leather ribbon that wraps around the journal to keep it tight.
This one is filled with 300 pages, 90 gsm thickness (counting both sides).
Its size is 9.2 x 6.6 in (23,5×17 cm).
