Medieval art book, White leather journal with Lock and key – White Heirloom
This is a very special, one of a kind blank book bound in beautiful white antiqued leather. It was made to resemble a medieval tome, to take you back in time. The covers have metal hardware and the decoration was made by tooling with brass tools and painting with gold leather paint. The journal can be safely locked with a functional lock and key. The key is attached to the spine of the book with a hook and can be detached from it as wanted. Every detail was carefully crafted the traditional way in the old style to make this book resemble on old tome from the shelves of a library.
The end pages are made of handmade marbled paper with brown and black veins. The headbands are hand sewn by me in two colors, with gold and grey silk threads.
The book measures 10.2 x 7.3 inches (26 x 18.5 cm). It is filled with artist quality paper and has 114 pages (228 sides). This is warm white, Fabriano paper, hand torn, thick (200 gsm) and will work for both writing and sketching in any media, including watercolor.
This journal is an art object. You can use it as a family book, a magic book or simply as a journal to pass down your family as a heirloom, either way, you will definitely love it once you’ll meet it.
