This book is bound in natural brown leather which was hand dyed with patina to achieve an antique look. The decoration was stamped onto the leather, each element at a time. I wanted to give this book a magic feeling, simple, occult, completed by an ancient feel of a cherished worn book. The symbols stamped on the cover are the Ouroboros, the serpent eating its own tale, which symbolizes cyclicality, the eternal return, and the Heptagram, the symbol of perfection. This journal measures 6.5 x 8.7 inches (16.5 x 22 cm) and has a total of 170 pages (340 sides) of writing paper. The paper is white, has 135 gsm and is perfect for writing and sketching in ink and dry media. The book-block was hand sewn in longstitch technique and the edges were toned for a better feel with the antique look of the book. This book is one of a kind piece of artwork.
