Hand Painted Leather Journal - Renaissance Large Book, Art Journal, Vintage Style Ribbed Spine, Old Paper - Study after Leonardo Da Vinci

I am simply in love with the beautiful mind and artistic soul of the great Leonardo Da Vinci.
This journal is inspired by Renaissance art, by one of the sketches of this great master, possibly a self-portrait. I hand painted the leather in detail, trying to catch the expression of his characters. No tools were used, it is a drawing made in the traditional way, line by line.

For this journal, I chose a lovely leather that has a beautiful patina and a nice texture.
The paper is hand torn so it has beautiful raw edges and each page was individually stained to give it a weathered look. The book is bound by hand in the traditional way they used to make them back in the old days, a lengthy yet beautiful process. Its end pages feature the Vitruvian man, another famous work of Da Vinci.

It has 300 pages (counting both sides), vintage style hand torn paper, 120 gsm, suitable for writing your thoughts and great ideas.
